Evangelist to speak

BURGIN — Evangelist Cory Respondec will be the guest speaker at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, and 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, at Burgin Church of God, 326 West Court St. Everyone

is invited to attend.

 

World Day of Prayer

The South District Baptist Association churches will meet at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Danville on Monday, Nov. 4, to celebrate Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer. The theme is “Arise & Shine!”

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a soup and a “bring your favorite salad” meal in the fellowship hall. This will be followed by a celebration of prayer in the church sanctuary. Everyone is invited — men and women.

This study and prayer time involves Seven Continental Unions connecting women from 151 countries around the world. This connects Baptist Women globally, face to face, virtually and through prayer.

 

Caring Friends to have Thanksgiving dinner

Caring Friends Fellowship is having its annual fellowship Thanksgiving Dinner at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 at McDowell Place of Danville. The turkey and dressing will be provided and everyone is to bring their favorite Thanksgiving dish. We will each share what we are thankful for and have fun playing Bingo, with prizes to be given away. Cash donations will be accepted to help the CFF ministry.
