One of the pedestrians struck at the intersection of Third and Main streets in Danville on Oct. 25 died today at a Lexington hospital.
Lana S. Cleveland, 72, of Danville, was pronounced dead at 3:23 p.m. Nov. 1, according to Fayette County Chief Deputy Coroner Greg Haley.
Cause of death was ruled to be blunt force trauma to the head, Haley said. No autopsy was conducted because there are no charges in the case, he said.
Cleveland and another Danville woman, 70-year-old Shan S. Kihlman, were attempting to cross Main Street at the intersection with Third Street at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, according to Danville police. A northbound SUV struck them as it was turning left from Third onto main.

An accident reconstruction crew was called in to investigate the collision.
