The purpose of this notice is to inform the public of the exercise in order to alleviate any undue concern with the presence of several emergency vehicles at the college. West Walnut between College Street and Maple Avenue will be blocked off to vehicles and pedestrians during the training exercise.

All Centre students, faculty and staff will be participating, as the campus will be on lockdown throughout the duration of the drill. The campus community will be notified of the start and end of the exercise through the college’s emergency mass notification system.

Citizens are asked to be patient and understanding during the time of inconvenience. The exercise is being conducted to better prepare the college, the medical center and emergency services for real-life emergency incidents should they occur on our campus.

Questions concerning this training event can be directed to Centre College Public Safety Director Gary Bugg  (859) 238-5535 or Danville Police Chief Tony Gray (859) 238-1200.
