Perryville tailgating party

There will be a Perryville community tailgating party and chili cook-off starting at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, at Perryville Community Center and Baril Park.

Several TVs will be showing the UK vs. Vandy football game and other SEC games. Tailgaters should bring chairs, blankets and canopies. Alcohol is prohibited. There will also be prizes, raffles and vendors at the event.

Meal tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door and includes chili, crackers, cookie and drink. The ticket also serves as one raffle ticket. For tickets and chili cook-off entry and rules, can be picked up at Salted Honey Café, S&A Furniture, Mr. Miser’s and Farmers National Bank. 

 

First Responders luncheon planned

The fourth annual First Responders’ Thank You Luncheon will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Showroom on the corner of Lebanon Road and the bypass. The special event is for all members on the Boyle County first responders and emergency services.

There will be drawings for door prizes. The menu will be fried chicken, mac and cheese, assorted sides and desserts.

The free lunch is sponsored by The Hope Network and Boyle County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy Inc.
