As a member of the transition team, Elliott will work with elected officials and law enforcement professionals from across Kentucky to ensure a smooth change of power from Governor-Elect Andy Beshear to Attorney General-Elect Cameron. One of the major priorities of the transition team will be working to ensure that a quality staff is in place to carry out Cameron’s agenda.

“As a former law school classmate of Daniel’s, I have seen firsthand the dedication and drive that he will bring to the Attorney General’s office,” Elliott said. “I’m proud to serve and offer counsel to someone who is not only a friend, but also a rising star in state government who is committed to improving the lives of Kentuckians. I look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes in this role, including serving as a voice for law enforcement and tackling the drug epidemic.”

The transition team includes men and women from the law enforcement and non-profit communities, as well as state and local officials and prosecutors. They will serve in an advisory capacity, providing counsel on issues relating to staffing in the office and ensuring an overall successful transition. Cameron is the first Republican to serve as Attorney General in 75 years.

Elliott represents the 54th House District in the Kentucky General Assembly, representing Boyle and Casey counties.
