Margaret Delphine Penman

1929-2019

Margaret Delphine Penman was born January 30, 1929 in Stanford, Kentucky. She peacefully departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Charleston Healthcare Center. She was the daughter of the late Agatha and John Henry Penman. Margaret professed her love for Christ early in life. She was called to ministry in her early thirties. She joined First Baptist Church, Stanford, Kentucky later in life and later moved her membership to Allen Chapel A.M.E. in Moreland, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Penman, a son Richard Penman, Jr., and four brothers, John Thomas Penman, Charles Penman, Kenneth Penman, and Clyde Penman. Precious memories of Margaret will be forever cherished by many family members including her daughter, Agatha Henry, three sisters, Flora Overstreet, Barbara Walker (Reverend Everhart Walker), and Maedell Rivers. Two grandsons, Garey and Carey Henry. Margaret had 12 great grandchildren (Justice, Jadyiah, JCareya, Keira, Carey, Isaiah, Jachary, Jedrian, Gareyelle, Braxton, Shyleia, Cara, and three great great grandchildren, Zoey, Grace, Brixton, and Rainey Day, that she dearly loved. She will be greatly missed by several special nieces, Valerie Penman (who would buy her anything she wanted), Phyllis Newcomb-Stewart (who would fly the friendly skies at any given moment to be with Aunt Margaret), and Darlene Spicer (who would always spoil her by cooking awesome meals for her). Also, a special love for her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Penman, Elizabeth Penman, and Ruth Ann Penman. Margaret also had a very special bond with her cousin Mrs. Rosetta Ford.
