Support group launching for those who have lost loved ones to drugs

The Central Kentucky chapter of GRASP — grief recovery after a substance passing — will hold its first support meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Garrard County Public Library, 101 Lexington St. in Lancaster. The group plans to meet monthly from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month.

GRASP provides sources of help, compassion and understanding for individuals who have had someone they love die as a result of substance abuse.

Dinner with the Doctor

A “Dinner with the Doctor” event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, at Danville Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2630 Perryville Road. A free meal will be served and Dr. Nancy Graham, who specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry, will give a presentation on ADHD and answer any questions. Call (859) 295-3153 for reservations.
