A survey crew from Louisville-based QK4 was in downtown Danville Tuesday afternoon, checking on the striping and light placement at the intersection of Main and Fourth streets. Kelly Carr said they were working on the project for the city and state highway department following the recently completed restriping project.

He added that the survey was a routine followup, but that the recent pedestrian fatality at Main and Third streets had created a sense of urgency in completing the survey.
