Beulah “Boots” Mae King Caldwell

1928-2019

Beulah “Boots” Mae King Caldwell, 91, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019. She was the widow of Clarence Caldwell and was born in Casey County on January 30, 1928 to the late George Lee and Pearlie Mae Smith King.

Beulah was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church since she was twelve years old. She enjoyed quilting and gardening and was a much-loved member of her family and the community. She worked in the kitchens as a cook of both the former Forkland School and Boyle County High School.

Surviving are a daughter, Dolly (“Dud”) Releford, four sons, Harold Caldwell, Eddie (Barbara) Caldwell, Marvin Caldwell, Gary (Willena) Caldwell, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, two brothers, Arnold (Barbara) King, and Donnie (Judy) King.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Violet and Jewell Caldwell and 4 siblings.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday December 6, 2019 at Pleasant Run Baptist Church with Pastor Jr. Fields and Bro. Dave Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Elder Cemetery. Visitation, Friday, will be at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. Also, visitation will be Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 4 – 8:00 p.m., at Walden Funeral Home Perryville.

Beulah’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
