Larry and Irene Childers of Waynesburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at a family cabin retreat.

The couple was married on Dec. 6, 1969, at Parlor Grove Baptist Church by Brother Earl Hacker. 

They are the proud parents of four children, Jackie Cummins (Lewis), Tabitha Bullock (Terry), April Jasper (Jonathan), and Kelly Stickler (Sammy). 

They have also been blessed with 13 grandchildren, Danielle Padgett (Chase), Kimberly Jeffries (Brandon), Carl-Lewis Cummins, Royce Cummins, Sara-Mae Bullock, Trey Cummins, Bryce Baker, Laurel Jasper, Will Jasper, Zachary Baker, Abby Jasper, Aiden Stickler and Isaiah Stickler, and three great-grandchildren, Reagan Padgett, McKinley Padgett and Parker Jeffries.
