Holiday closings

The Boyle County animal shelter, convenience centers and recycling center will be closed for the holidays on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 24 and 25 and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

The Boyle County Public Library will be closed Dec. 24-26 . 

 

Meetings

Danville City Commission — 3 p.m. today (Tuesday, Dec. 17) at city hall for a special-called meeting. Agenda includes: executive session for personnel matters, action may be taken in regular session; Parks and Recreation Joint Participation Agreement discussion; amendment to ordinance 1939, creation of a city Parks & Rec Committee and the Office of Parks and Recreation director; ordinance 1938, repeal of Joint City-County Parks & Rec; and discussion of cancellation of Dec. 23rd city commission meeting. 

 

Danville-Boyle County Recreation Commission — 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18 at city hall for a special-called meeting. Agenda includes: director’s report (Parks & Rec Agreement/ordinance update); assistant maintenance supervisor position; and an executive session if needed. The next meeting will be 4:15 p.m. Jan. 15.
