Snowball and Shelby: Boyle County Humane Society Pets of the Week

Published 1:28 pm Tuesday, January 7, 2020

Our featured pets this week are Shelby and Snowball.

Shelby is a pretty 10-month-old tabby and white cat. She was a stray that was brought to the humane society so she would be safe and out of the cold weather. Shelby is a gorgeous girl with big stunning eyes that reflect her inquisitive nature. She is a very friendly kitty that enjoys attention and petting. Shelby is doing fine, after a short adjustment period, settling into one of our kitty condos and sharing space with other adult cats. This sweet girl is ready to make both a loving and beautiful companion if you choose her for adoption.

Snowball is a cute 2-year-old yellow lab mix. He weighs 40 pounds, so he’s smaller and more compact than the average lab. Snowball came from a situation where he was not getting the basic care he needed, and when he first came to the humane society he was scared and did not trust people. But with some TLC and quite a few treats he has made a wonderful turnaround and is now a happy dog. He gets along great with other dogs during play sessions. Give Snowball a home with structure and love, the things that were missing from his past, and he will be your forever friend in return.
