Edith Fields Howard

1943-2020

Edith Fields Howard, 76, died January 12, 2020. Born October 26, 1943 in Versailles to the late James Howard, Sr. and Georgia Countee. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Jenny and Rosemary Gooch.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Catherine (Larry) Paulin, Mary Lucinda Logan; two sons, Vincent Edward (Alice Hughes) Logan, Vandree Lamont Logan; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Howard, Jr.

Funeral Service will be 11 am, Friday, January 17, 2020 at South Maple Street First Baptist Church in Somerset. Pastor Yusef Franklin will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.
