Helen Lee Miller

1921-2020

Helen Lee Miller, 98, of Waynesburg, KY passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Born on September 27, 1921 in Kings Mountain, KY to the late John Samuel Lee and Willie Johnson Hasty. She was a homemaker and helped on the farm for most of her life. Helen loved quilts, flowers, gardening, cooking and canning. She lived in the Waynesburg area for 57 years and was a member of Eubank Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Joan Newsom of Waynesburg, KY, Peggy Richey of Stanford, KY and Debbie Graham (Terry) of Waynesburg, KY; two grandchildren, Brian Shelton and Christy Lark (Dewayne); five great-grandchildren, Sawyer Lark, Riley Lark, Layne Lark, Gunner Shelton and Cali Shelton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Joe Miller, whom passed away in 1976; one daughter, Barbara Miller Flannery, whom passed away in 1999; four brothers, Park Hasty, Otis Hasty, Everett Hasty and Russell Hasty; five sisters, Nola Hasty Reynolds, Christine Hasty Petite, Mildred Hasty Falconbery, Velma Hasty Rowland and Beulah Lee Witt.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY with Bro. Dale Robbins officiating the service. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY.

Active Pallbearers are Terry Graham, Sawyer Lark, Riley Lark, Lane Lark, Gunner Shelton and Cali Shelton.

Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Eubank Church of Christ.
