Boil water advisory for southwest Boyle Co. 

The Parksville Water District has had a line break and there is a Boil Water advisory for southwest Boyle County. Areas under the Boil Water Advisory are 15000 Forkland Rd. to 18223 Forkland Rd., and Minors Branch, Elk Cave, Gorely, Indian Springs, Curtis and Medlock roads. The Boil Water Advisory will last until further notice.



The Boyle County Genealogical and Historical Society meeting scheduled for Monday night has been cancelled.

Dollhouse museum temporarily closed

In compliance with recommendations of government and public health officials, and following the example of other museums as well as public school systems, The Great American Dollhouse Museum is closed temporarily.


Burgin City Hall closed

Burgin City Hall is temporarily closed to the public.


Workplace roundtable to be rescheduled

The Substance Use and the Workplace Roundtable scheduled for March 26, at the Fire Department Headquarters has been cancelled.  It will be rescheduled in late spring or early summer.


Civil Air Patrol going to online training

The Stuart Powell Cadet Squadron 122 Civil Air Patrol has cancelled all group cadet activities and will be hosting all of the weekly training online. If a member is unsure what to do they should contact their cadet or senior staff directly for assistance. For Info: on KY122 call (859) 779-8014.

Arts Commission postpones Youth Arts Festival 

The Arts Commission of Danville-Boyle County will postpone the Youth Arts Festival, previously planned for March 24. This decision was made after numerous conversations over several days with the Boyle County Health Department.

The Arts Commission will replan the event at some time in the future, and in consultation with all its participating schools, programs and community partners.

Art Center cancels Lunch with the Arts

Art Center of the Bluegrass has canceled its Lunch with the Arts program, previously scheduled for Wednesday, March 18. 


Rotary International Dinner postponed 

Being mindful of the Health Department directives concerning the health and safety of the community, the Rotary Club of Danville has postponed the International Dinner scheduled for March 21.

Retired teachers cancel meeting

The Boyle County Retired Teachers organization has canceled its March 16 meeting due to  the state KRTA’s recommendation that all local and district meetings be canceled.
