1930-2020

Harold Tilden Carrier, 89, of Stanford, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Danville Health and Rehabilitation. Born on May 31, 1930 in McKinney, KY to the late Manford Tilden Carrier and Stella Smith Carrier Sandidge. He was a member of the former, Green River Church of Christ in McKinney, KY. He was an employee for Inter-County Energy before retiring after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, farming, hunting and skeet shooting at the local sportsman’s club.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Salyers Carrier of Stanford, KY; sons, Craig Kent Carrier (Terena Isaacs-Carrier) of Stanford, KY and Kevin Gene Carrier (Sarah) of Stanford, KY; one brother, Billy Carrier (Nita); sisters, Alfreda Carrier Jenkins and Mae Carrier Harris (Ray); step-brother, Bobby Sandridge; step-sister, Louise Chandler (David); sister-in-law, Lois Carrier; four grandchildren, Kristen Walton, Kenton Carrier, Karson Carrier and Caleb Carrier; step-granddaughter, Jae Cox and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edsel Carrier and Manford Carrier; and one brother-in-law, Carl Jenkins.

A private family viewing will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. A private family funeral and burial will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral home in Stanford, KY. Burial will follow services at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY.

Visitation, Funeral and Burial services are strictly limited to immediate family only. There will be live streaming available on Spurlin Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

Pallbearers are Lynn Young, Clayton Walls, Danny Renner, Bud Griffith, Kenton Carrier, Karson Carrier and Caleb Carrier.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky Lane, Andrew Denny, Jackie Riley and Current/Retired Employees of Inter-County Energy.
