As we all navigate the unprecedented, extraordinary and evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) national emergency, the City of Danville wants you to know that we always have been and will continue to be available for assistance within our purview. Therefore, the City of Danville has announced temporary assistance to residents and business owners who fall behind on their fee payments. 

Until the city’s Emergency Disaster Declaration is lifted, the city will be implementing the following protocols, relating only to the 2020 billing year: 

• Interest or penalties will not be assessed to utility bills not paid by the deadline. Payment plans will be set up for any customer unable to pay their utility bills in full by the published due date. Please call (859) 238-1200 to speak to a customer service representative.
• Alcohol regulatory fees for the quarter ending April 30 and due May 29 shall be deferred for 30 days. Fees will be due June 30.
• All liquor licenses expiring at the end of April shall be extended until the end of May. License holders need not take any additional action and can continue to operate in compliance of the law without penalty.
• All payroll license withholdings for the quarter ending March 31 shall be extended for 30 days and will be due May 31 instead of April 30.
• Danville will follow the federal guidelines on tax returns for net profits by extending the filing and payment deadline to July 15.

 The City of Danville has launched a dedicated website to provide updates and information to the public concerning its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The public is encouraged to share the site – danvilleky.gov/covid19 – with their friends and family as well as connect with the city on Facebook at facebook.com/DanvilleKentucky/.

 “We are determined to take immediate steps to help our residents and businesses weather the current situation,” City Manager David Milliron said. “I’m sure in the coming days and weeks there will be more measures the City of Danville can implement to help our residents and businesses as additional needs arise.”
