Margaret Louise Kidd

1925-2020

Margaret Louise Kidd, age 94, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at Stanford Care & Rehabilitation. Born Wednesday, May 20, 1925 in Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Clarence & Leala May Adams Deatherage. Louise was the widow of the late Chester Green Kidd, who preceded her in death Friday, January 28, 1977.

Louise was a homemaker and member of First Church of God in Stanford, where she loved attending. Louise loved her family dearly, and enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, Louise enjoyed reading her Bible and shopping. 

Louise leaves behind six children, Pam Lair (Tim) of Stanford, Judy Hester (Jon) of Stanford, Kenny Kidd (Lora) of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Karen Sexton of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, Ricky Kidd (Deanna) of Danville, Kentucky, and Greg Kidd (Jeannie) of Stanford; 13 grandchildren, Julie Lair, Clara Lawson, Sarah Hester, Rebecca Gastineau (Derek), Aaron Kidd (Misty), Kenya Jenkins (Skip), Rochelle Larrison, Brandon Lenhart (Saralee), Brennan Sexton (Katrina), Kerri Sapp (Chris), Beth Carmack (Todd), Jacob Kidd, and Jerrica Kidd; 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, Hayes Deatherage of Stanford; one sister, Patty Cromer of Brodhead, Kentucky; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Louise was preceded in death by five brothers, Jim Deatherage, Clarence “Bug” Deatherage, Lester Deatherage, Foster “Doc” Deatherage, and Eugene “Billy” Deatherage; one infant sister, Alma Mae Deatherage; and one son-in-law, Barry Sexton. 

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a Private Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 24, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Lenhart officiating the service. Private Burial will take place in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. The Private Funeral Service will be broadcasted live on 102.9 WPBK FM at 1:00PM Friday, April 24, 2020.
