Wilma Joyce Barnet

1933-2020

Wilma Joyce Barnett 87, widow of the late Harlan T. Barnett, Sr. passed away Friday, May 8, 2020. Daughter of the late Edward F. and Hallie McMullin Lawson, she was born May 8, 1933 in Washington Co., KY.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Carolyn Sue Barnett and a brother Marvin Lawson. Joyce was a current member of Hedgeville Baptist Church and past member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

She is survived by children Harlan Thomas (Vicki) Barnett, Jr., Connie Sue (Steve) McGirr; 13 grandchildren; Misty (Chris) Wilson, Bradley (Augustine) and Bryan Cummins, Leigh (Adam) White, Travis (Ashley) Abrams, Lyndsey, Krista McGirr, Sydney (Damani) Del Rosario, Travis, Jessica, Michael, Tyler and Alyvia McGirr; 15 great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Evann, Hunter and Ella White, Jackson Abrams, Boone, Reese, Keene Wilson, Kingston McGirr, Seraphina and Harlan Cummins, Stevie and Avery Del Rosario, Lexie Grubbs and Jabe Moore.

A Private Service will be held at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with John Kesel officiating. Burial will be at Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Donations may be made to Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Harry Wiley, 118 Robards Court, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
