Josh had a larger than life personality and he never met a stranger. His smile was contagious and wherever he went, laughter would soon follow. His charismatic storytelling and his hilarious impersonations could light up any room. Josh was comforting and compassionate to so many in their times of need. He deeply loved his wife, dogs, family and friends. Josh was also an extremely gifted drummer and music was his lifelong passion. He had the biggest heart and it was felt by all who knew him. Humor, light and love … that’s how we will all remember Josh.

Along with his parents he is survived by his wife, Jessica Downey Hughes; brother, Jeremy Hughes; grandfather; Clarence Gerald (Arletta) Hughes, and nieces and nephew; Sophie Hughes, Tucker Hughes, and Cora Leigh Downey.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The family suggests sending memorial contributions to the Boyle County Humane Society or Wounded Warrior Project. Please sign the guestbook or send a Hug from Home.
