1944-2020

Thomas Cecil Pigg, 75, of Stanford, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 1, 1944 to the late Johnnie and Sylvania Rothwell Pigg.

He joined Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at a very young age and served as a deacon for many years. Cecil graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1962. Cecil worked for the National Casket Factory in Lancaster, KY for many years and then retired from Trane Company in Lexington, KY after 20 years. 

He was a longtime farmer and avid UK wildcats fan. Cecil loved spending time with his family, especially on holidays. Cecil leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 45 years, Barbara Logan Pigg; one daughter, Sharon (Pat) Alcorn; one granddaughter, Heather Logan; one grandson, Ian Alcorn; one great granddaughter, Zakayla Penman; two great grandsons, Taishon Chenault and Shandon Penman; one brother, Johnnie (Pat) Pigg; sisters in law, Amanda Martin, Berea, KY, Shirley Owsley, Standford, KY, Mary (Rex) Boards, Louisville, KY; brothers in law, Stanley (Ingrid) Logan, Jr., Colorado; Davey (Penny) Logan, and Mike (Bea) Logan, Lancaster, KY; two nieces, Lee Ann (Geno) West and Yvette (Jim) Leon, Ohio; and several cousins. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster with Rev. Shea Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers are Pookie Logan, Davian Logan, Arnez Buford, Alphonso Miller, Malone Anderson, Dennis Leavell, William Booker, Jason Jones.
