Pet of the week, Aug. 18, 2020

Our pet of the week is Tyson, a photogenic 3-year-old bully mix.

Tyson

Check out that huge smile and gorgeous amber eyes! This big guy is new to us, so we haven’t seen the full range of his personality yet. One thing we do know is that Tyson likes attention! Given the opportunity, he basks in getting petted and resting his giant head in your lap. After enjoying some pets and snuggles, Tyson will settle down at your feet to relax.

Tyson appears to be house trained and is a smart boy who will thrive with regular exercise and basic training. He’s neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready to find his new home. Call us or visit during adoption hours Monday – Friday between 1 and 4 p.m. to meet this handsome dog.

Last year, DBCHS was able to find loving homes for 649 animals, perform 1,068 spay and neuter surgeries, and send 72 pets to rescue organizations, thanks in no small part to our compassionate community. We appreciate your support, and we will see you back here next week with another animal looking for love!

About us: the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society was established in 1972 to promote the humane treatment of companion animals through sheltering, adoptions, community education, and spay and neuter programs. As a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, DBCHS is dependent on monetary gifts from generous individuals and businesses in our community.

Visit DBCHS.org or mail a check to DBCHS P.O. Box 487, Danville, KY 40423-0487. Your monetary gift will make a difference in the life of a deserving dog or cat, and we appreciate every dollar!

Also, we are always in need of cleaning supplies, especially disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray, bleach, paper towels, liquid laundry detergent, hand soap, and hand sanitizer. Feel free to drop off donations when we’re open: Monday to Friday from 1 to 4 p.m., and Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
