Deputies arrest couple with heroin, meth, other drugs and paraphernalia

A Tuesday evening traffic stop conducted by two Boyle County deputies led to the discovery of several drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Deputy Tanner Abbott and Deputy Wren made the stop at the intersection of US 127 and Denmark Drive. During the stop, K9 Aja was deployed, indicating on the vehicle. A search found heroin, methamphetamine, Suboxone, a digital scale and a glass pipe.
Shaunda Brown, 41, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking heroin, trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking 1st degree (drug unspecified), and trafficking 2nd degree (drug unspecified).
Michael Blakey, 40, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking heroin, trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking 1st degree, trafficking 2nd degree, expired license and no insurance.
Both were lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.
