1946-2020
Glen Smith, age 74, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at Stanford Care & Rehabilitation in Stanford, Kentucky. Born Sunday, August 11, 1946 in Kings Mountain, he was the son of the late Donald Camden & Jewell (Sims) Smith.
Glen previously owned used car lots, body shop, machine shop, and retired as a farmer. Glen was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and loved race cars, enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, and farming. Glen leaves behind one son, Donnie Smith of Hustonville, Kentucky; one daughter, Glenna Rasche (David) of Hamilton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Nikki Rasche, Amber Smith, Matthew Rasche, Derek Smith, Rylan Smith, and Camden Smith; six great-grandchildren; the mother of his children and best friend, Sue Smith of Kings Mountain; one brother, Crim Smith (Winnie) of Casey County, Kentucky; and two sisters, Letha McWhorter of Kings Mountain, and Shirley Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. Glenna Rasche will offer the eulogy; and will be assisted by Bro. Chris Taylor. Burial will follow in KP Hall Cemetery. The Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions are requested to honor the front-line “heroes” of the Stanford Care & Rehabilitation, for the love and care they showed Glen during his stay at the facility. Donations can be sent c/o Fox & Friend Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Stanford, KY 40484. All donations will be forwarded to the “heroes” that work at the facility, in memory of Glen.
