Masonic fish fry

Danville Masonic Lodge is having a fish fry Saturday, Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the lodge, located at 400 N. Fourth St. in Danville. Due to COVID-19, the meal will be carried out for you to pick up at the curb. Menu includes hand-breaded cod fish, shrimp, cole slaw, French fries, baked beans, hushpuppies, soft drinks and bottled water.

Everyone is welcome. Tickets are $9 and $5 for children under age 12. Profit will be used for the “Veterans Project.”

Women’s Network to host open meeting

Kentucky House Representative Attica Scott of Louisville will be the speaker at the next Women’s Network of Boyle County meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 via Zoom. She will be speaking about the upcoming 2021 legislature and policies that will move the state toward racial justice.
