Stephen Holt

1946-2020

Stephen Holt, 74, passed away Sunday August 30, 2020. He was born in Boyle County, Kentucky on March 18, 1946 to the late James O. and Ethel Mae Tate Holt and was married to his late wife, Barbara Ann Pike Holt for 53 years.

Stephen was an United States Army Veteran and a member of Mitchellsburg Church of God. He retired from Sellers Engineering after 35 years as a certified welder. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, knives, guns, and playing the guitar.

Survivors are three daughters, Lois (Eugene) Crowe, Debbie (Steve) King, Dora Holt, five grandchildren, Ashely and Courtney King, Kristy Simpson, April and Amy Crowe, and three great-grandchildren, Abby Simpson, Trinity and Mya Gabbard.

In addition to his parents and wife, Stephen was preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond Holt, Mary Conder, William Henry Holt, and a great-grandson, Colton Gabbard.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday September 2, 2020 at Mitchellsburg Church of God with Phillip Coffman, Larry Moore, and Chaplain Darrell Hahn officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in New Holt Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday September 1, 2020 from 5-8:00 p.m. at Mitchellsburg Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Steve King, Eugene Crowe, Arvin Abner, Kelly Simpson, Billy Pike and Michael Stapp.

Honorary bearers will be Men of Mitchellsburg Church of God and Mr. Holt’s grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Heritage Hospice or Mitchellsburg Church of God.

Services are under the direction of Walden Funeral Home Perryville.
