According to information from Boyle County Emergency Management Director Mike Wilder, natural gas in downtown Perryville has been turned off due to a leak as line repairs were being made. Wilder said it will be later this afternoon before repairs can be completed and the gas turned back on for Atmos customers.
Wilder said Atmos had recommended that all residents of the city limits of Perryville to evacuate, but have cleared the area for residents to return and businesses can reopen
