The Democratic Party believes that American greatness comes from making one nation out of the diversity of the world.  That is the meaning of the national motto chosen by our Founding Fathers:  E Pluribus Unum – Out of Many, One.

We are all in this together, so we should all pitch in.  Democrats make sure that all children have an equal chance at education, that all senior citizens have the protection of Social Security and Medicare, and that everyone has health insurance. We believe that all men and women are created equal.  We face up to the fact that some Americans have not had equal access to all of these things in the past due to unjust and un-American discrimination, and we are working to fix it.  We believe that Black lives matter, too. We are anti-fascist.

Most Americans agree with us. All of these basic American institutions and beliefs are under attack by the true radicals.  The Democratic Party has not shifted anywhere.  We are defending American values.
