Community sing

The Perryville Ministerial Association will host a community sing on Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. in the Perryville United Methodist Church parking lot, 206 E. Second St. The Blakey Quartet and members of local churches will sing.

Everyone is asked to bring a chair and food will be provided. In case of rain, the event will move inside the church.

Masonic Lodge to have curbside fish fry

Danville’s Masonic Lodge is having a fish fry from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3 at the lodge located at 400 N. Fourth St. 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, members will be serving the public with carry-out orders to their vehicle parked at the curb.

The menu includes hand-breaded cod fish, shrimp, cole slaw, French fries, baked beans, hushpuppies, soft drinks and bottled water. Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and younger. Profit will be used for the lodge’s “Veterans Project” and scholarship program.

 

Caring Friends to meet

Caring Friends will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4 at Perryville Baptist Church. Angie Deering will lead an inspirational devotional. Perryville Baptist pianist, Joy Campbell, will bless us with a concert of beautiful, Christian music. If there ever was a time we needed to see each other and have our spirits lifted and encouraged, this would be the time. Please wear your mask and social distancing will be practiced. All those in our community whose spouses/partners have passed away are welcome to join us.
