Drug arrest made in Junction City Sunday

A Danville man faces multiple drug charges following a Sunday traffic stop for minor violations in Junction City.
Boyle County Sheriff’s Office K9 Deputy Abbott and Deputy Hopper conducted a traffic stop on Grubbs Lane in Junction City. Further investigation found that the passenger in the vehicle, Joseph Burns, was in possession of glass pipes, methamphetamine, and fentanyl. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of additional methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Burns was taken to the Boyle County Detention Center where he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking methamphetamine, and trafficking fentanyl, 2nd offense.
