David Anthony Kopczynski

1938-2020

David Anthony Kopczynski, 82, of Waynesburg, husband of Wanda Conatser Kopczynski, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in Lexington. Born Monday, July 11, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Walter & Frances Czerniak Kopczynski. 

David was a former dispatcher for Resource Recovery Corp. & a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church. He was part of the Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion, the VFW, ELKS BPOE 174 in Tacoma, Washington, & Ray C. Roberts VFW. He proudly served in the United States Army.

Survivors other than his wife include sons; David Wayne (Hope) Kop, of Nicholasville, Dzung Huynh (Vivian) & Quoc Huynh (Kim) both of Everett, Washington, Du Giang, of Tacoma, Washington; daughter, Sen Thi Nguyen, of Kent Washington; sister, Geri Kronert, of San Diego, California, twelve grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM Monday, October 12, 2020 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, with Father Peter Joseph officiating. Full military honors will be performed by Caswell Saufley Post # 18 of the American Legion. Friends & family may share memories or leave condolences on his tribute wall at : www.ramsey-young.com.
