Johnetta Payne

1942 – 2020

Johnetta Payne, 78, of Stanford, KY passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Rivers Edge Nursing Facility in Prospect, KY. Born on May 12, 1942 in Lincoln County to the late John Thomas Payne and the late Elizabeth Pepples Payne. She worked as a custodian for 22 years, spending her last seven years working at Stanford Elementary. She was a member of the Lancaster Nazarene Church.

Survivors include three nephews, Curtis Young III of Stanford, KY, David Allen Young of Danville, KY and John D. Young of Kissimee, Fl; and one niece, Alice Reynolds of Hustonville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Elizabeth Payne and one sister, Joanne Young.

A one-day service will be on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Goshen Cemetery in Stanford, KY.
