Garden club and McDowell House to have annual Green Tea, virtually

The Garden Club of Danville and the Ephraim McDowell House Museum invite the community to a virtual Green Tea Holiday Open House at the historic McDowell House on Second Street in Danville.
Even thought the Green Tea is virtual this year, it will still be a fundraising event to support The Salvation Army and the Family Services Association of Boyle County.

For decades, the Garden Club of Danville has decorated the McDowell House for the holidays the first week in December with arrangements that are appropriate to the early 19th-century period of the home. And the public has been invited to tour the home and to enjoy the Green Tea refreshments.
However, this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the club will present a virtual tour highlighting some of the period arrangements and decorated mantels.
The tour will be hosted by Martha Caywood, president of the Garden Club of Danville.
