1933 – 2020

Hazel Epperson Franklin, 87, of Danville passed away at her home on Friday, December 11, 2020. Born June 4, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Ann Kelly Epperson. Hazel is retired from Genesco and Red Wing where she worked for over 35 years. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Danville where she kept the nursery for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, watching old western movies on television, and spending time with her family and loved ones. Hazel is survived by two sons, John Franklin of Danville and James Kelly Franklin (Mike) of Danville; daughter, Anne K. (Andy) Glenn of Owensboro; granddaughter, Karen (Tim) Rogers of Virginia; great grandchildren: Emma and Abbie Glenn of Owensboro, Kealyn and Claire Greenwell of Virginia; Katelyn Pirtle and Caiden Droege of Evansville, and niece, Betty Ann (Don) Sinkhorn of Danville. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jonathan Glenn and infant, Christopher Michael Franklin; and by three brothers and a sister.
