Raymond W. English

1928 – 2020

Raymond W. English, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Raymond was born on September 15, 1928 in Illinois and was the son of the late Mary Catherine Forester English and Benjamin Franklin English. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as an operator for Texas Eastern Pipeline, and one of his great adventures was overseeing construction on the Alaskan Pipeline. Raymond enjoyed watching sports and woodworking. He never met a stranger and always had a smile for everyone. Raymond is survived by 1 daughter, Cynthia (Billy) Kirkpatrick of Moreland; 1 son, Gary (Paul) English of Danville; 2 grandchildren: Billy Kirkpatrick and Melaney Martin; 3 great grandchildren, Kennedy and Tate Kirkpatrick and Brady Martin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Betty English. Due to COVID-19, all services will be private at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home per the family’s request. Pallbearers will be Billy Kirkpatrick, III, Tate Kirkpatrick, Kennedy Kirkpatrick, Brady Martin, Paul Schroeder, Riley Spidel, and Rudy Valdez. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
