Belmont University

The dean’s list honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.

Local students graduate from UK
The University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences recognized more than 300 candidates for degrees at the December 2020 virtual commencement ceremony Dec. 4. Among the candidates are:
Peyton Calhoun of Danville, who is a candidate for a bachelor of arts in psychology.
Pastors earn PhDs
Local pastors Brent Rowe and Choe Sergent are among the first students to earn their Ph.D degrees from Campbellsville University.
Rev. Brent Rowe has served at Calvary Baptist Church for 13 years with nine years senior pastor. He also holds degrees from Georgetown College and The Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville.
Rev. Brandon Choe Sergent has been pastor of Junction City First Baptist Church for the past seven years. This is his second tenure there, having served as associate pastor previously. He holds two master’s degrees from Campbellsville University and is an associate vice president at CU.
