Cases handled recently in Boyle District Court, listed by name, charge, fine and jail sentence, where applicable, include the following. Court costs also were assessed in most cases. Ages and addresses are listed if available.

• Jordan Guiles, 22, Lexington: violation of protective order, 60 days, credit for two days served, remaining time probated one year; two counts contempt of court, dismissed.

• Jimmy R. Holman, 73, Parksville: first-degree criminal trespassing, 60 days, probated one year, banned from victim’s property.

• Aaron Thomas Cook, 28, Danville: fourth-degree domestic assault, 120 days, consecutively with any other sentences, to serve 14 days, remaining time probated one year.

• Jordan A. Asberry, 24, Stanford: two counts theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting, merchandise valued less than $500, 90 days each count, one restitution of $34.88; two counts contempt of court, 90 days each count, concurrently, credit for 90 days served.

• Cecley Carter, 29, Stanford: possession of drug paraphernalia, 365 days; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth, amended to criminal attempt, 365 days, credit for five days served, remaining time probated two years.

• John Leland Conway, 43, Danville: possession of synthetic drugs, second offense, amended to attempt, 365 days, probated two years; no seat belts, $25; two counts failure to use signal, both dismissed.

• Nathan Donelle Smith, 37, Danville: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, amended to attempt, 365 days; possession of drug paraphernalia, 365 days, concurrently, credit for two days served, remaining time probated two years; and failure to use proper signal and possession of open alcohol container in vehicle, both dismissed.

• Douglas S. Adams Jr., 50, Danville: two counts shoplifting merchandise valued less than $500, 30 days each count, restitution of $429 and $180.93 to Walmart, banned from Walmart; two counts contempt of court, 30 days each count, all time to run concurrently, credit for 30 days served.

CIVIL JUDGMENTS

Civil judgments handed down in Boyle Circuit Court include:

• Mid South Capital Partnership vs. James Turner and Jean Turner, final judgment for plaintiff and order of sale due to delinquent taxes from 2011-2016 and fees for a total of $6,069.72.

• Greenriver Investments LLC vs. Beechtree NCM LLC, judgment for plaintiff and order of sale due to delinquent taxes.

• Greenriver Investments LLC vs. JNEK LLC, judgment for plaintiff and order of sale due to delinquent taxes.

• Bank of America vs. Christopher Adam Lewis, default judgment for plaintiff, $21,604.72 plus costs and fees

• Citibank vs. Rebecca Alcorn, default judgment for plaintiff, $6,047.32 plus costs and fees.

CRIMINAL JUDGMENTS

Criminal judgments handed down in Boyle Circuit Court include:

• Paul Embry: convicted felon in possession of a handgun, amended to firearm, three years, to run consecutively with Meade, Fayette and Jefferson county cases; tampering with physical evidence, three years, concurrently; first-degree fleeing or evading police, three years; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth, three years; DUI second offense, six months; possession of drug paraphernalia, 12 months, concurrently; driving on suspended license, six months; no driver’s liability insurance, six months.
