Boyle and Kentucky Daily COVID-19 Statistics; Complete downloadable data included

NOTE: Despite the state numbers reporting a total of 12 deaths in Boyle County, the Boyle County Health Department reported a total of 37 local COVID-related deaths. As of Wednesday, Jan. 13, the state reported 14 deaths in Boyle County. Numbers from Jan. 14 and since report a total of 12 deaths in the county.

Kentucky’s updated COVID-19 statistics were released Sunday, Jan. 17.

According to those numbers, Boyle County has 21 new cases of COVID-19. That raises the county’s total number of cases to 2,811 since the pandemic began.

There have been no new deaths reported in Boyle County since the previous day, and the total number of deaths reported by the state is now reported as 12 for the county, according to the provided statistics, despite that number being 14 as of Jan. 14. The Boyle County Health Department reported on its Facebook page a total of 25 deaths as of Dec. 27, 2020.

Across Kentucky, there were 2,362 new cases reported, raising the state’s total to 326,675.

There were 34 new deaths reported in the state, raising the state’s total to 3,127.

Kentucky’s incidence rate was reported at 70.01. The incidence rate measures the average daily new cases per 100,000 population based on the previous seven days. Boyle County’s incidence rate was 74.1, and that ranks 32nd in the state.
