The Norton Center’s lineup of local and global presenters is available on its website, complementing an already diverse lineup of on-demand programs.

Along with the ongoing Culture + series, an all-new series titled “Peek Behind the Curtain” is set to premier Jan. 28. The first episode will feature Patron Services Manager Jessica Durham and bring viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the Norton Center facility. Other “Peek Behind the Curtain” tours will showcase the Norton Center’s technical side and what performers might experience during their time at the Norton Center.

A familiar face will perform with the Harlem Quartet on March 9: Anthony McGill will join the Harlem Quartet for an online performance. McGill visited the Norton Center in March 2020 with the McGill/McHale Trio, performing in Weisiger Theatre. McGill serves as principal clarinet for the New York Philharmonic. He’s the first African-American principal in the orchestra’s history.

Events aren’t limited to the Norton Center: Other Centre College arts events are listed on the website. These events include Salvadoran poet Javier Zamora and Greek Tragedy, a theatrical production from Centre College’s Dramatic Arts program.

“Now, more than ever, it is important for our community to come together and celebrate what we have in common and what makes us unique and special,” said Steve Hoffman, Norton Center executive director. “The Norton Center team is thrilled to invite you to join the Centre College community and attend cultural programs being offered that nurture our desire as humans to learn about — and from — each other. From new theatre productions, to talks from experts across the globe on interesting and timely topics, all are welcome. So, let’s get reconnected!”

You can also watch Estella Scrooge, a first-of-its-kind musical event, on demand through Jan. 31.
