The power of words and numbers to clarify or deceive

If you are reading this then you have blessedly survived 2020, unlike the 339K COVID, 324.7K pneumonia, and 883K abortion casualties. (2020 CDC; 2019 Guttmacher Institute) That is 2.6 intentional unborn deaths for every COVID death. Combing these three causes, more than 1.5 million Americans stopped smiling, loving, and contributing to our Republic in 2020. Surprisingly, only 8.7K died of influenza.

In non-pandemic years, the 10 leading causes of death in the U.S. are typically from the same categories with pneumonia and influenza (47.9K) grouped together in the 8th or 9th position instead of 4th as in 2020. Where will chronic lower respiratory disease(157K) appear since it is no longer 4th on the list? Heart disease(659K) and cancer(599.6K) are still at the top of the 2019 CDC list. The 2020 CDC list has not yet been released.

According to a 2020 article in USA Today, it is not uncommon to have a spike in pneumonia deaths during a pandemic as reported by Dr. Fauci’s research on the 1918 Spanish flu. In 2008, the National Institutes of Health confirmed that bacterial pneumonia(treatable with antibiotics) caused more deaths than the Spanish influenza virus. Similarly, during the 1957 Asian flu and the 1968 Hong Kong flu pandemics, both of which are proposed descendants of the Spanish flu, numerous pneumonia deaths occurred. With this information, how closely were recovering COVID patients being monitored for the potential secondary pneumonia infection?

Macrotrends.net has reported data on the US birth and death rates across multiple decades. In the last four years, birth rate has hovered around 12% while death rates have steadily changed by .1 from 8.58% in 2017 to 8.88% in 2020 as reflected by an aging, baby boomer population. If we were truly experiencing a pandemic of the magnitude that media coverage and government mandated closings merited, would there not have been a significant leap in the death rate?

Amid the fear factors of COVID, quarantine, shutdowns, rioting, curfews, and unprecedented voter fraud, the voice of freedom continues to remind the masses that before their choice of political preference, they were Americans. Regardless of age, gender, ability, or skin tone, the sanctity of every human life remains an underlying premise in the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Stop dividing America with propaganda and perceived injustices and start working to make a safe, united, productive America again.
