Danville road conditions and recycling and waste update; Boyle convenience center closures

Danville Public Works Director Rick Henry said city staff stopped working on roads around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. They had worked on them since about 3 a.m., and also started removing tree debris around the same time.

He said his current advice is for people to avoid the roads if they can, practice caution, particularly at intersections and stop signs, and to continue to practice caution into Friday morning and until roads warm up.

“Your intersections are always usually still kind of slick,” Henry said.
