This week our featured pet is Romeo, a 1-year-old pit bull mix with a sleek black coat and a passion for passion! Valentine’s Day may have come and gone, but our Romeo is a classic hunk of love: he wants to be snuggled and hugged all year round.

This sweet dog is looking for his Juliet or anyone, really. Romeo’s not picky; he adores humans of all ages. When he had a chance to meet some puppies, he thought they were a little, well, too little.

But when Romeo met a dog his own size, he sniffed casually and gave a wag of his long tail. We think he’d be fine around cats, too; that’s how chill this dog is.

Romeo had neuter surgery last week and has been sporting the cone of shame while his sutures heal. That silly cone hasn’t bothered him a bit, except for being in the way of giving kisses. He has taken the cone in stride, bumping into things but keeping his pawsitive attitude.

Romeo likes nothing more than doing, well, nothing! Give him a big comfy bed, a chew toy, or treat-filled Kong, and he’ll be in his element. He has spent lots of time hanging out in our offices and has been a very good boy.

Romeo takes treats gently, and he’s house-trained, too; no marking or making messes for this guy.

Then the pet is held for five days in the hopes we can reunite it with its family. Last year we reunited more than 100 pets with their relieved humans!
