1938 – 2021

Betty Jean Coffey Spoonamore, 82, of Danville passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021. Born June 30, 1938 in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Essie Pearl Gilpin Coffey. She retired after 27 years as an educator with the Boyle County School System. She was a member of the Democratic Women’s Organization and Kentucky Retired Teachers Association. Betty Jean is survived by her husband of 59 years, H. Dudley Spoonamore; sons, William Dudley (Mary) Spoonamore and Jon Christopher (Lori) Spoonamore, both of Danville; daughter, Holly (Scott) Dickison of Danville; brother, William Fuller Coffey of Lancaster; and four grandchildren: William Lee Spoonamore, Kellie Spoonamore, Jory Dickison, and Sammy Dickison. Visitation is 5-7 pm, Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service is 11:00 am, Tuesday with burial at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
