Free transportation to vaccine sites

The Blue Grass Community Action Partnership has announced it will provide free transportation to the Kentucky Horse Park and Ephraim McDowell vaccine sites for elderly residents to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations. Free rides are offered to those living in Boyle, Casey, Garrard, Lincoln, Mercer, Jessamine, Anderson, Franklin, Scott, Washington and Woodford. You can call 800-456-6588 at least 24 hours before your vaccine appointment to reserve a ride.

Caring Friends Hope and Help Valentine event re-scheduled

Caring Friends Hope and Help Widows/Widowers Ministry has rescheduled its drive through Valentine Day event on Sunday, Feb. 21 from 12:30 – 1 p.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 123 Quisenberry Avenue, Danville. A free box lunch and gift bag will be provided. An RSVP by Friday, Feb. 19 is required. Contact Barbara Satterly at 859-583-7686 or Angie Deering at 859-516-1618.
