Isaiah House Treatment Center has been awarded a $339,000 grant to expand services offered through its outpatient clinic in Danville and surrounding communities. The Real Hope Behavioral Health Clinic will offer a unique approach to outpatient treatment where clients can benefit from mental health therapy, substance use disorder treatment, and primary care in one location.

The expansion is funded by an Opioid Use Disorder Treatment Access Expansion grant through the Kentucky Opioid Response Effort (KORE), a part of the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. The KORE grant is a significant investment in the clinic’s infrastructure and professional staff.

“The project focuses on removing barriers to treatment and providing supports that strengthen our clients’ chances for a successful recovery,” said Isaiah House President Mike Cox.

The clinic, located at 975 Hustonville Road Ste. 7/9, first opened in 2019 offering outpatient, intensive outpatient, and FDA-approved medication-assisted treatment for Opioid Use Disorder. The outpatient clinic was recently renamed Real Hope Behavioral Health to reflect the broader services available including traditional behavioral health services for anyone struggling with a mental health issue.

“We find that many people with substance use disorder have avoided medical care sometimes for months or years due to fear of repercussions and the stigma of addiction,” said Cox. “With medication-assisted treatment, primary care, and behavioral health services in one location, we will offer an innovative approach to outpatient treatment to help people in recovery thrive as they live in their community, pursue employment or education, and care for their families.”

The clinic will now be able to offer evening and weekend appointments, weekly anonymous “Real Hope Support Meetings” open to anyone seeking recovery, and free transportation to appointments for residents of Boyle and surrounding counties. Community partners for the expansion include Goodwill Industries of KY, which will provide career coaching and criminal record expungement fairs, and Hometown Kids, a licensed childcare provider, will offer free childcare while parents are in counseling or group therapy.

The project also upgrades technology for telehealth counseling services for clients who cannot attend sessions in person and other new services including Narcan giveaways and training sessions, Casey’s Law assessments, court-ordered mental health assessments, peer support, targeted case management, and parenting classes.
