AMERICAN LEGION BOYLE POST 46

News release

Alexis Weathers, representing Boyle Post 46, collected the second place award of $1,500 in scholarship funds for a very impressive speech, in an exceptionally competitive contest, at the Department of Kentucky’s Oratorical Championship in Frankfort on March 7. Weathers is a Danville High School senior. These funds with her district and post tuition awards will aid her greatly as she prepares for college. This department-level award was a high-water mark for Post 46, and the post proudly and gratefully wishes this highly-talented girl the greatest of success in her quest for a profession in education. The post thanks Beth Marlowe of DHS and vice commander Regena Carney for their dedication in supporting the Legion Oratorical Scholarship Program.
