The Boyle County Public Library is an information and technological hub, and offers its patrons free WiFi and computer access with printing and scanning capability. In addition to these services, patrons will find numerous resources for job seekers at the library and on the library’s website.

Tutor.com is an online resource available to the public through the library’s website with a library card. It is a robust resource for both students and job seekers, offering not only test prep and homework help, but also the SkillsCenter™ Resource Library that includes résumé help, interview and job search tips, and career assessment.

EBSCO LearningExpress is another resource provided by the library and is available through Kentucky Virtual Library (KYVL). The LearningExpress Library provides helpful tools for the job seeking process including career preparation where users can prepare for a career exam, explore occupations, and improve workplace skills.

The LearningExpress Library also has a computer skills center, a GED test prep center, and a “Job & Career Accelerator” that provides tools and resources for résumé and cover letter writing, as well as easy job search and application steps. There is also an Adult Core Skills center that helps adults achieve their personal, educational, and career goals by offering resources to help them improve their basic skills in reading, writing, and math, and prepare for the U.S. citizenship exam.

LinkedIn Learning with Lynda.com is another valuable resource that provides thousands of training videos covering computer programs, workplace skills, and career preparation. Patrons will need a valid BCPL library card to access the collection.

Links to EBSCO LearningExpress, tutor.com, LinkedIn Learning, and other resources can be found on the library’s website at BoylePubLib.org/engage/job-seekers. Those needing help accessing these resources may stop by or call the library at 859-238-7323. Live Chat assistance is also available through the library’s website during business hours.

In addition to the online resources, the library also has numerous print resources for résumé writing, interviewing, and other facets of the job search.

Those experiencing heightened levels of stress during the job seeking process may find books, DVDs, or CDs on relaxation, yoga, wellness, and stress-management to be helpful. Patrons needing help locating these materials can ask any of the librarians for assistance.

The Boyle County Public Library serves the city of Danville and the surrounding communities, and is actively committed to enriching the lives of its patrons. The library is located at 307 West Broadway in Danville.
