Boyle County Sheriff’s Office arrests Lexington man for drug and other charges

Following a traffic stop April 3 on Old Wilderness Road, Boyle County Sheriff’s Office K9 deputy Tanner Abbott and deputy Braydon Hopper tried to make contact with the driver, who took off, making a right turn on Lexington Road. Deputies Abbott and Hopper pursued the vehicle until it came to a stop on Hwy. 33 by Fisher Ford Road. Brian Wilson of Lexington was arrested and transported to the Boyle County Detention Center. Deputy Hopper and HPD were able to locate approximately one ounce of methamphatamine that was tossed out of the vehicle during the pursuit.

Wilson was charged with the following: failure to or improper signal, speeding over 26 miles per hour, wonton endangerment, reckless driving, driving while DUI-suspended, disregarding traffic control device, criminal mischief, possession of marijuana, trafficking methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Wilson’s bond was set at $12,000.
