Margie Caudill Lewis

1948 – 2021

Margie Caudill Lewis, age 73, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Jean Waddle Cancer Center at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Born Saturday, March 27, 1948 in Waynesburg, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Chester & Dessie Bastin Caudill. Margie was the widow of the late Jerry Lige Lewis, whom she married Tuesday, November 1, 1977, and preceded her in death Friday, August 19, 2016. Margie was a retired high school English teacher, who taught for 28 1/2 years. She was a member of Friendship Old Regular Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. Margie leaves behind several extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. In addition to her husband and parents, Margie was preceded in death by one son, Shawn Bradley Lewis. A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky. Memorial Contributions suggested to the Lincoln County Educational Fund, PO Box 423, Stanford, KY 40484.
