Boyle deadline for net profits extended

Boyle County Fiscal Court, on the advice of County Treasurer Keagan Hinkle, voted to extend the deadline for License Fee Returns (Net Profits) to mirror the new federal income tax filing deadline of May 17 2021.

“IRS officials announced on March 17, 2021 that the filing deadline was extended an additional 30 days. Boyle County and Danville returns will adhere to the same deadlines,” said Boyle County Judge Executive Howard P. Hunt.   

All businesses, even independent contractors and home based businesses in Boyle County, must file a Net Profit Return along with payment. The 2021 rates are:

• 1.25% of the net profit earned within the County of Boyle

• 1.75% of the net profit earned within the City of Danville

Businesses inside the city limit will file and pay both rates.
